AX210 or AX211?

• Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX210 is a standalone M.2 card (hardware ID PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2725). It works in almost any PC with an M.2 E-key slot, including AMD systems.
• Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX211 is a CNVi module: part of the Wi-Fi logic sits in the Intel chipset, so it works only in laptops and boards built for it (12th generation Intel Core and newer). Its hardware ID depends on the platform, for example DEV_51F0/DEV_51F1 on Alder Lake laptops or DEV_7AF0 on 600/700-series desktop chipsets.

Both use the same Intel wireless driver package, so the latest driver on this page covers either card.

Wi-Fi 6E and the 6 GHz band

6 GHz networks require Windows 11. On Windows 10 the card works on 2.4 and 5 GHz only, no matter which driver version you install. The router must also support Wi-Fi 6E, and 6 GHz may be disabled in some countries by regulatory settings.

Bluetooth is a separate driver

The Bluetooth part of these cards is a separate USB device (on AX210 it is USB\VID_8087&PID_0032) and needs the Intel Wireless Bluetooth driver. If Bluetooth is missing but Wi-Fi works, install that package. On desktop cards the internal USB header cable for Bluetooth must be connected to the motherboard.

Troubleshooting

• Wi-Fi disappears after sleep: in the adapter's Power Management tab clear "Allow the computer to turn off this device".
• Code 10 or 43: do a full shutdown (Shift + Shut down), then install the latest driver; see the Code 10 guide.
• AX211 not detected in a desktop or older laptop: the platform does not support CNVi; use an AX210 card instead.

Linux supports both cards with the in-kernel iwlwifi driver.
