About RTL8852 cards

Realtek RTL8852 is a family of Wi-Fi 6 and 6E combo cards (Wi-Fi + Bluetooth) used in many budget and mid-range laptops:

• RTL8852BE — Wi-Fi 6, PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_B852
• RTL8852AE — Wi-Fi 6, PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8852
• RTL8852CE — Wi-Fi 6E, PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_C852

Install the driver

1. Install the latest driver from this page and restart. The adapter appears as Realtek RTL8852BE WiFi 6 802.11ax PCIe Adapter (or AE/CE).
2. Install the Realtek Bluetooth driver if Bluetooth is missing — it is a separate USB device on the same card.

Troubleshooting

• Slow or unstable connection — update the driver first; then in Properties → Advanced set Preferred Band to 5 GHz and disable Power Saving Mode for testing.
• Wi-Fi disappears after sleep — clear “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power” in Power Management.
• 6 GHz (RTL8852CE) works only on Windows 11.

Linux supports these cards with the rtw89 driver in recent kernels.
